Overly's Country Christmas Trip 2

Friday night we made our 2nd trip to Overly's Country Christmas with our friends Chelsey and Chance and their little ones Brooklyn and Carter. Our last trip last weekend I thought my camera totally broke but it turns out I didnt have my memory card in it lol So this time I had my camera even though I still cant see my screen and I have pictures to share =) We had a good time even though it was freezing cold out we stayed bundled up, drank some hot chocolate and sat by the huge fire they have there. I am always so excited to come here every year since I was little my family has came yearly. Its fun to bring my kids here as well. Here are some of the lights...

Nathan loved the train with the hole in it, he remembered it from last weekend and ran straight to it to put his head in.

Hailey was nice and bundled up so she could stay warm out in the cold.
Brooklyn and Hailey were both well behaved the whole entire time.

We sat by the fire for awhile eating kettle corn!

I then took the boys on the train, Carter hated it and freaked out the whole time Nathan on the other hand was in his glory he loves trains.

Daddy loves his little princess

Nathan loves star from the goodnight show and they have a similar star mascot which he followed around the whole night as well as last weekend. He gave him hugs, high 5s and kept running to him any time he seen him. It was so cute.

They had some lite up blocks I stuck the kids on, of course Nathans eating a lollipop from star.

They also have this awesome tree, there is a person in a booth behind it that can see you and hear you on a little camera. She asks your name and if you have seen Santa what you want for Christmas, if your having fun and anything else you say to her. I love how they have had this tree every year since I was younger.

Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium

The Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium is our home away from home, we've had our membership since last May and have been there id say atleast 40 times. LOL We just love the zoo and everytime we get to experience something new it seems. There were very few people there since it was a Friday, middle of the day, and very cold out. It was like we had the zoo all to ourselves. We happened to go right around feeding time so we got to see alot of animals either eating or looking for their food. We had a great time at the zoo most likely the last time until the Spring.

Hailey bug loving the zoo!!

Setting up the Christmas Tree

On Saturday we put up our Christmas Tree which was so fun! I love Christmas and I love getting seeing the excitment on my kids faces. They just lit up when they seen the tree light up which was so cute. I let them play with a few ball ornaments and some garland and took some pictures of them both, Hailey is much more cooperative then Nathan is so I didnt get many of him but its ok. We got a prelit one so we didnt have to worry about the needles and mess with a real one. We also got a gate back in Sept. to put around it so we could keep the kids away from it as well. It has worked for the most part but Nathan can reach over and keeps wanting the candycanes off of it. lol Here are a few pictures of the kids =)

Nathan is my little ham for sure.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! We went to my Aunt Tina, Uncle Mike and cousin Justins house with all the family. There were aboit 25 of us there and lots of food! Our family has lots of babies right now, there are 6 kids under 3 and 1 on due in April. 5 boys and 2 girls. They all played and had a good time while us adults talked over lots of yummy desserts of course keeping an eye on the kids as well =) Hailey fell asleep while eating her pumpkin pie lol Both kids ate lots of turkey and little cheese puffs. We got to see family that came up from Florida for the holiday who we havent seen since last Christmas Eve which was really nice as well. Please dont mind pictures since I couldnt see my screen I was just taking pictures and there was something on my lens which I didnt know =(

Once we left my Aunt Tina's we went 5 miles down the road to Hartwood Acres Celebration of Lights which has over 400 light displays that you drive through which is like an almost 4 mile drive I think. I was very upset I didnt get too many pictures since I couldnt see my stupid camera screen but I managed to get a few. The kids loved the light and had a blast anyways. We took them out of their carseats and let them sit on our laps while we drove through them so they could actually see them and had my sister there to help hold on of them as well. They do an awesome job and we try to go every year. Here are a few of the displays...

I wanted to add that I am very thankful for my family and all of my friends weather they be near or far you all are awesome! I have an awesome husband and amazing kids who I wouldnt trade for the world! We have had an awesome year and are thankful to have made it through another year of life =)
